The United Nations General Assembly resolution 68/237 in support of the International Decade for People of African Descent introduced the MIPAD list. The list introduced in 2017, is to celebrate the high achievers in public and private sectors around the world to help commemorate the International Decade for People of African Descent, 2015-2024, as declared by the United Nations.
The activity of events and the annual ceremony happened September 2019 in New York City in conjunction with the opening of the 74th United Nations General Assembly.
Under 40 CEOs Executive Director; Mr Familusi Akin Babajide was nominated as one of the Most Influential People of African Descent and attended the events of the week.
