African Entrepreneurs Invited To Apply For MIT-Based Fellowship - Under 40 CEOs

African Entrepreneurs Invited To Apply For MIT-Based Fellowship

The inaugural Legatum Foundry Fellowship has been launched by the Massachusetts Institute of Technology’s (MIT) Legatum Centre for Development and Entrepreneurship to support African entrepreneurs.

The Legatum Centre was created in 2007 on the notion that increasing prosperity and developing more equitable systems in emerging nations requires innovation-driven success.

The Foundry Fellowship is a one-of-a-kind leadership program for accomplished entrepreneurs interested in shaping the future of the African innovation ecosystems in which they work and live. Fellows will gain knowledge from MIT faculty, network with investors, and broaden their network of peer innovators.

The Foundry, based on the MIT ethos of Mens et Manus (Mind and Hand), is a gathering place for entrepreneurs to reflect on their accomplishments and shape their futures as leaders in business, investing, and governance. The program consists of an interactive online curriculum followed by a three-week immersive session in which the cohort explores innovation-driven ecosystems.

This fully-funded program will select an initial cohort of 15 Fellows. Entrepreneurs from Uganda, Ethiopia, Ghana, Nigeria, Kenya, Rwanda, and Senegal are encouraged to apply, and nominations are also accepted. You can find all of the information you need right here.
